BCTV can infect over 300 plant species across more than 44 families of dicotyledonous plants, leading to significant yield reductions or even total crop failure, which causes substantial agricultural losses. The virus spreads among hosts primarily through leafhoppers. This detection kit is designed for the qualitative detection of BCTV nucleic acids in dicotyledonous plant tissues. A non-competitive internal control is included to monitor the sample collection, nucleic acid extraction, and PCR detection processes, ensuring the validity of the test results.
