Human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections worldwide and is strongly associated with cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases. Among the identified genotypes, HPV 16 and HPV 18 are recognized as the highest-risk oncogenic types, while several other genotypes are also classified as high-risk HPV.
This kit is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic assay for the detection of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) nucleic acids in cervical specimens collected by healthcare professionals. The assay enables the detection and differentiation of HPV genotypes 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68. In addition, HPV genotypes 26, 73 and 82 can be detected collectively, providing broader coverage for clinically relevant HPV infections.
