This product selects the ORFlab and N gene ((FAM)) regions of SARS-CoV-2 the specific regions of Influenza A Virus (HEX) and Influenza B Virus (ROX) and designs four sets of primers and fluorescent probes that cover four sites of the genes. The four sets of primers and probes can specifically bind to the target sequences. When the RT-PCR amplification reaction is performed, the fluorescent signal (s) can be detected by a full-automatic fluorescent PCR detector to realize real-time online monitoring of the RT-PCR reaction. In order to control the entire extraction and detection process, human gene (Cy5) was act as a non-competitive internal control during the extraction and detection process.

Product Description

The main symptoms of the novel coronavirus pneumonia are fever and dry cough. Some people will have other symptoms such as fatigue, muscle aches, shortness of breath, diarrhea, etc., but the symptoms such as runny nose and sputum are rare. Influenza A virus is the most common influenza virus. It usually presents with influenza-like symptoms, including fever, sore throat, runny nose, nasal congestion, cough, phlegm, headache, general soreness, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea in some cases. Influenza B virus often causes localized epidemics, patients will have general malaise, high fever, myalgia and other symptoms, serious patients will have some complications, such as encephalitis, pneumonia and so on.

Application Cases

The SARS-CoV-2 and type A/B influenza virus mixed sample with a concentration of 200 copies/mL was detected by the SARS-CoV-2 and type A/B influenza virus nucleic acid detection kit (Fluorescence PCR method) for 20 replicates. The results are shown in the following table and graph:

Result: The results showed that the detection rate of the mixed sample containing 200 copies/mL of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A virus, and influenza B virus was 100% in 20 replicates, indicating that the detection results of the kit at low concentrations were stable and the reproducibility was good.

Storage Conditions

1. The kit should be stored at -25°C ~ -15°C away from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw.

2. The kit can be stored for 3 days at 2-8°C after opening.

3. The kit can be stored for up to 12 months if all components are kept in the manner above. Do not use after the stated expiry date.

4. The kit can be transported in foam box sealed with ice bags or dry ice under 8°C.
